Pinky Promise
Identical twins secretly alternate a single life. One family, one job, one dog. Until one brother’s hidden affair sends the other to Guatemala, where a zipline accident leaves them with an impossible problem: how do you keep up a shared identity when your wife counts on you each having ten little piggies?
INT. CARE HOME - SHARED BEDROOM - DAY
A small room. Two beds pushed together. Football stickers on the headboards. Two copies of the same comic on the floor. JAKE, 7, sits on the bed closest to the wall. Knees up with his arms around them.
He's watching RYAN, 7, same face, same age, same build, stuff clothes into a bin bag. A CARE WORKER stands in the doorway. Patient but ready to go.
CARE WORKER
Five minutes, love.
She steps out. Ryan stops packing. Looks at the bin bag. Looks at Jake.
RYAN
It's only the other side of town.
Jake doesn't say anything.
RYAN
They've got a trampoline.
Nothing.
RYAN
And a dog. She showed me a picture. It's massive. Like a horse but stupider.
Jake's chin is on his knees. He's not crying yet but he's close.
