Dead Man's Chest

In Thatcher's Britain, a 17-year-old barmaid inherits a dead man's map to stolen Brinks-Mat gold and joins a trawler crew to find it, not knowing the charming cook who takes her under his wing is the man who killed for it.

INT. BRINKS-MAT WAREHOUSE, HEATHROW — 1983

Cold vapour hangs in a sodium haze. The faint whine of an airport heard through walls. A concrete floor slick with condensation.

A SECURITY GUARD face-down, cheek in oil, wrists cinched behind his back with cable ties as a knee pins his shoulders.

Five men in balaclavas over Metropolitan Police uniforms. No shouting. No rush. They move through the warehouse like it's just a shift change.

The HEIST LEADER crouches beside the Guard. South London accent.

HEIST LEADER

You keep your head down. You go home.

He takes the keyring from the Guard's belt.

At the alarm panel, a WIRY ROBBER has the cover off. Screwdriver between his teeth. He strips wire, twists. Every movement counted. Nothing wasted.

A distant BEEP starts. He raises his hands like a conductor.
